Food was more Chinese than Thai. Food was pretty fresh. Had bang bang shrimp at $2 up charge and orange chicken combo. Shrimp was just ok. Orange chicken was decent and fairly saucy.
Overview
Ruby Thai Kitchen Cherryvale offers a convenient dining option inside the Mall Food Court at 7200 Harrison Avenue CherryVale, Rockford, IL 61112. Its food-court setting makes it particularly practical for shoppers, mall employees, and anyone looking for a casual meal without committing to a traditional sit-down restaurant. The location is straightforward and accessible within CherryVale Mall, allowing visitors to combine lunch or dinner with shopping and other activities in the area.
The concept centers on Thai-style food served in a quick, approachable format. Rather than creating the formality of a full-service dining room, Ruby Thai Kitchen Cherryvale fits naturally into the pace of a busy mall. Customers can browse the available menu, choose what suits their appetite, and enjoy their meal in the shared food-court seating area. That setup can be useful for groups as well, particularly when different people want food from different vendors.
For diners considering this restaurant, convenience is one of the clearest factors to keep in mind. Food-court locations are designed around efficiency, and this Rockford spot provides an alternative to burgers, pizza, sandwiches, and other familiar mall choices. The Thai kitchen identity also gives customers a more specific direction when they are in the mood for Asian-inspired flavors. However, anyone looking for table service, a quiet dining room, or a destination restaurant experience should remember that this is a mall food-court establishment.
Another advantage is flexibility. A restaurant inside CherryVale Mall can work for a quick midday break, an uncomplicated dinner while shopping, or a casual meal with friends and family. There is no need to build an entire outing around the restaurant itself. Instead, Ruby Thai Kitchen Cherryvale can simply become one convenient part of a visit to the mall.
When looking at reviews for a food-court restaurant, it is useful to focus on practical details such as food quality, portion size, value, service speed, and consistency. These factors often matter more than atmosphere because the surrounding seating and overall environment belong to the larger mall rather than the individual food vendor. Recent customer reviews can therefore be helpful for understanding what the experience is currently like, especially since menu selections and day-to-day availability may change.
Among restaurant locations in and around CherryVale Mall, Ruby Thai Kitchen Cherryvale stands out primarily through its Thai-focused identity and quick-service format. The combination is suited to diners who want something casual and convenient while already visiting the shopping center. Since specific dishes, prices, opening hours, and service details were not provided, checking the current menu and mall information before making a special trip is sensible, particularly for diners seeking a particular item or visiting outside typical shopping hours.

The mango chicken is decent, everything else I sampled had a odd taste. People working there seemed like they rather be sleeping
Was totally impressed and the good was wonderful. A little pricey, but, in this economy, everything is.
